Bath & Bed

Do You remember what I bought lately? A very nice soap dispenser for the new bathroom. I brought it back to the shop and exchanged it for the whole set. I love it:D It is simple and modern, to use:)

Pamietacie co ostatnio kupilam? Fajowy dozownik mydla do nowej lazienki. Zanioslam go z powrotem do sklepu! Zamiast niego kupilam caly zestaw. Normalnie kocham go:D Jest prosty i nowoczesny, do uzywania:)

 

I also bought a duvet & a bed set: King Size. I usually miss about 10 cm of duvet every night:), so I will be happy to have 30 cm more;)  I just love Dunnes Stores and my bed set is from there. I wasn't thinking about the bedroom style yet, but I want a white bed. Maybe more glamour than cottage style... I like plain furniture with different accessories that I can change when I wish.

Rowniez kupilam koldre i komplet poscieli, duuuzy. Czesto brakuje mi tak z 10 cm koldry kazdej nocy:), wiec bede szczesliwa majac 30 cm wiecej;) Kocham Dunnes Stores i moj komplet poscieli jest z tego sklepu. Nie myslalam jeszcze o stylu sypialni, chce biale lozko. Moze bardziej elegancki styl od wiejskiego... Lubie proste meble i rozne dodatki, ktore moge zmieniac co kiedy chce.

I asked John: What is it? He said: yy...for the fireplace? yyy for the cake!!! Yes, You right!!!:) It is from the charity shop, you can find many things there ;)

Christmas Gingerbread

 Christmas is comming. Time for cookies and Christmas decoration. I baked the gingerbread yesterday, a month before Christmas Eve. The jars are from Ikea, it is cheap and nice way to store cookies.

Swieta sie zblizaja. Czas na ciasteczka i swiateczne dekoracje. Upieklam wczoraj pierniczki, miesiac przed wigilia. Sloiki sa z Ikei, to tania i ladna opcja przechowywania ciastek.

 

 

 

Brandon's Christening Cake

Brandon's Christening was last Saturday in Galway. I baked a cake. It was funny to see people faces when I said that the cake is not bought and I made it.

Chrzciny Brandona byly w ostatnia sobote w Galway. Upieklam tort. Smiesznie bylo widziec miny ludzi, kiedy mowilam, ze tort nie jest kupiony, a sama go zrobilam.

Brandon, zycze Ci slodkiego, piankowego zycia i malego aniola, ktory zawsze bedzie z Toba.

Fimo Catz

I wasn't interested in Fimo so much until I saw glow in the dark one. You can make many funny things with it like my first cat which I baked way too long and he got a bit brown;)

Nie bylam zbytnio zainteresowana Fimo dopoki nie zobaczylam swiecacego w ciemnosciach. Mozna zrobic z niego rozne smieszne rzeczy, tak jak moj pierwszy kot, ktorego pieklam dlugo za dlugo i troszke sie przyrumienil;)

The Bathroom units arrived!

Finally we have our units. We have ordered them the end of August (!) and were ringing B&Q all the time. What was wrong? We wanted a spa system, B&Q took an order and rang us after two months saying, that the roll top bath is not compatible with the spa system and we have to choose another bath. Alright, we did and what happened? We couldn't have it. We rang another B&Q to ask them, what's the story and they said that they had problems with free standing baths and spa systems, so they don't produce it anymore. Great! Why it took so long only? It is not the end yet:) The bathroom units were traveling across England, Scotland, Belfast and finally to us:D after 3 months waiting.
No bubbles but...we will have another great thing! Under tile heating!!! Can you imagine wake up in the cold morning and step on the nice, heated  floor or after warm shower or bath walk barefoot? I can...soon.

There is only one danger... the Duffy cat may sleep there all the time;)

Wreszcie mamy nasze wyposazenie do lazienki. Zamowilismy je pod koniec sierpnia (!) i dzwonilismy do B&Q przez caly czas. Co bylo zle? Chcielismy system spa, w B&Q wzieli zamowienie i zadzwonili do nas po dwoch miesiacach, mowiac, ze wanna nie jest kompatybilna z systemem spa i musimy wybrac inna wanne. W porzadku, wybralismy i co sie stalo? Nie moglismy jej miec. Zadzwonilismy do innego B&Q z pytaniem, o co chodzi z tymi wannami. Powiedzieli nam, ze mieli problemy z wolno stojacymi wannami i systemami spa, wiec ich wiecej nie produkuja. Swietnie! Tylko czemu to tak dlugo trwalo? To jeszcze nie koniec:) Wyposazenie lazienkowe jechalo przez Anglie, Szkocje, Belfast i wreszcie do nas:D po 3 miesiacach czekania.
Bez babelkow bedzie, ale... bedziemy mieli inna swietna rzecz! Ogrzewanie podkafelkowe!!! Czy mozecie sobie wyobrazic, obudzic sie w zimny ranek i chodzic po milej, podgrzanej podlodze, lub po goracym prysznicu, czy kapieli chodzic boso? Ja moge...niedlugo.

Tylko jest jedno niebezpieczenstwo... Duffy kot bedzie tam spala tam przez caly czas;)

Felted Phone Case

I made a mobile phone case long time ago. Duffy destroyed it and I repaired it. I made few pictures and left it on a table and after few minutes the cat had it in her mouth again. I have to keep all my craft things away from Duffy. The case is half wet and half needle felted.

To etui na telefon zrobilam dawno temu. Duffy zniszczyla je i zdazylam je naprawic. Zrobilam pare zdjec i zostawilam je na stole i pare minut pozniej kotka miala je znowu w paszczy. Musze wszystkie rzeczy do robotkowania trzymac z daleka od Duffy. Etui jest w polowie ufilcowane na mokro i w polowie igla.

Crunchy Peanut Butter Cookies

Lovely crunchy cookies. Easy to make. Great treat for kids or just with afternoon tea. 

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup butter or margarine
• 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
• 1 egg
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup sifted all-purpose flour, sift before measuring
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Cream white and brown sugars, salt, butter and crunchy peanut butter thoroughly in large mixing bowl. Beat egg and vanilla into creamed mixture until light and fluffy. Into another container, sift together flour and soda. Blend flour mixture into creamed ingredients gradually. Form peanut butter cookie dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets. With floured tines of fork make a criss-cross design to flatten cookies. Bake at 200°C for 6-7 minutes or until lightly browned around edges.
